Thirst After God

“As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?” (Psalm 42:1-2)

”My soul yearns for You in the night; My spirit within me diligently seeks You.” (Isaiah 26:9)

”Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him.” (Psalm 24:8-10)

We need God. We can’t stand without Him. Our perspective can get skewed every day, and especially if you have other variables in the wake like lack of sleep, tiredness, sickness or heavy trial. Continue reading Thirst After God

Why God?

Why?

2 Corinthians 4:7-18

Sometimes we ask ‘why’ of God when we don’t understand why He has given us such a hard trial. Job asked that of God and notice that God did not answer his question directly. He answered it by saying, ‘take a good look at who I am and that will be enough’, and that truly was enough to silence Job and to realize that God knew what He was doing. But in 2 Cor. 4:7 we get a little more light as to the ‘why?’.  Continue reading Why God?
